Our Opportunity:
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities' common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA's Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office.
This technician will support a large federal agency's Network Infrastructure through survey, design, and deployment of structured networks and will be responsible for the upkeep of the security posture of the environment.
This is accomplished through projects such as new installations, life cycle replacement projects, Cable Plant and wireless installations that are compliant with commercial, TEMPEST, and NIST standards.
Clearance Requirement:
oMust hold an active Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI.

Responsibilities:
oLead network survey, design and installations under direction of the government.
oConduct Site Surveys of customer premise networks in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
oCreate detailed Site Survey reports detailing a site's current infrastructure, NIST and TEMPEST compliance, along with design recommendations.
oConfigure, install, test, certify, and troubleshoot network infrastructure cabling.
oEnsure Network cabling infrastructure is compliant with current NIST and TEMPEST Standards.
oBuild and install equipment racks.
oInstall, dress, label, and terminate Cat6 and Fiber cable in telecommunications rooms.
oTest and troubleshoot network infrastructure issues on SIPR and NIPR networks.
oCreate accurate reports and documentation to design/certify network infrastructure.
oTrack, manage, and ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner.
oDevelop Bills of Material (BOM) for network plant design requirements.
oPlan and perform preventive maintenance and scheduled upgrades (Life-cycle replacements)oInvestigate physical faults in the network.
oReport network infrastructure deployment status to key stakeholders.
oHave flexible working hours to be available to support off hour work, when needed.
Must have's:
oBachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
oUnderstanding of ANSI/TIA-568 and 569 standards.
oRequirements of Protective Distribution Systems (PDS) for Classified Systems as directed by Security and/or the Certified Tempest Technical Authority (CTTA).
oKnowledge of National Security Telecommunication & Information Systems Security Instruction (NTISSI) 7003.
oKnowledge of DISA network topologies and standards.
oTopology and rack elevations using Visio.
oExperience with various OTDR, cable testers, and network sniffers to develop reports for infrastructure certification documentation.

Pay Range $66,300.
00 - $102,000.
00 - $137,700.
