The Opportunity This position is for the 2023-2024 school year, with a start date of July 3, 2023.
High Road Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) looking to jump start their career by beginning a comprehensive and rewarding experience while gaining valuable skills on the path to becoming a licensed Speech Language Pathologist during your Clinical Fellow year.
Under the supervision of an ASHA-certified and state-licensed Speech Language Pathologist, the Clinical Fellow will provide services for students in grades 3-12 with communication delays in a variety of settings.
The Clinical Fellow will be responsible for providing intervention in the areas of articulation, language, and fluency.
They will assess student needs, provide high quality speech and language therapy, and collaborate with both school personnel and families to provide services to students.
After the completion of the fellowship, you will receive your ASHA CCCs and your Maryland SLP License.

The Responsibilities Receive mentoring and training in all areas of clinical practice, including:
implementation of IEP goals, effective treatment of specific speech and language disorders, management of diagnosis and treatment plans, writing reports and session notes, conducting assessments and diagnostics Participate in direct and indirect supervision activities under your mentor Designs and implements intervention programs, which remediate deficit speech/language skills of identified students Works with school personnel and parents to design and implement the student's intervention plan, individual service plan, or individual student plan most appropriate to address the student's need Offers consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents in support of student's speech language goals Acts as a resource to parents, school personnel and other caregivers in the area of speech/language development Administers appropriate screening and/or diagnostic tests to determine child's speech/language competency, if requested Interprets diagnostic tests, identifies strengths and weaknesses in areas of speech/language skills, and generates reports providing feedback to school personnel and parents Is knowledgeable concerning all policies and procedures as established for these services Completes required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner Light lifting, walking, and/or climbing stairs may be required The Qualifications Master's Degree from an ASHA accredited university and Clinical Fellow Year eligible in Maryland is required Valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist Limited License/credential is required Experience working with students in a school setting is preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred Recommended Skills Assessments Clinical Practices Clinical Works Coaching And Mentoring Consulting Curiosity Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
