A team player with medical secretary and/or medical assistant experience would be a great fit for this position The primary responsibilities of answering a multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments, checking in patients for in office and telehealth visits, verifying insurance eligibility, collecting copays and assisting with specialty medication deliveries.
The position will include cross-training with check out procedures and medical assistant duties:
triaging patient exams (past/social/past medical history/HPI/ROS and medication list updates), obtaining vitals, prescription refills and prior authorizations.
The Patient Coordinator will report to and assist the Front Desk Supervisor in ensuring smooth operations of the front desk and quality patient care and satisfaction.
We are seeking a punctual, reliable team player and self-starter, who is flexible, eager to learn and willing to accommodate patients and adapt tonew challenges.
The office is located 7 minutes from Columbia Mall in Maple Lawn.
Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:
00 AM to 5:
00 PM or 7:
30 AM to 4:
30 PM (with a 30 minute lunch break) and Fridays from 8:
00 AM to 2:
30 PM or 7:
30 AM to 2:
00 PM (with a 30 min lunch break).
Salary is commensurate with experience.
