Job Description: Documentation Manager
Essential Job Responsibilities
+ Manage a team of writers and project managers at Cisco; this includes all aspects of people, process, and project management; includes performance planning and evaluation, resource allocation across projects, tracking of project and quality metrics, vendor management, and financial planning
+ Coach employees to empower high performance, support professional development, and promote job satisfaction
+ Use strength-based management to optimize employee contributions
+ Manage the development and maintenance of various documentation types for software, hardware, and solutions products
+ Ensure writers have access to peer and subject matter expert reviews of their content, and mentor writers if needed to address any persistent issues identified by reviewers to ensure document quality and usability
+ Collaborate effectively on global teams and promote a spirit of inclusiveness to ensure that diverse perspectives are valued
+ Innovate and implement standards and process improvements
+ Support writer participation in the agile development process
+ Communicate effectively with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders
+ Demonstrate strong leadership at the program stakeholder level by driving documentation requirements and tactical implementation of technical communication strategy
+ Build strong partnerships with peer managers in Development, Test Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, etc., to ensure successful Technical Communication efforts
+ Drive evolution of content strategy to improve customer experience
+ Encourage active customer listening and design thinking practices to make sure the documentation we create is the documentation the customer needs
+ Be a visible and articulate spokesperson for the changing function of technical communications within the Cisco development community
+ Lead initiatives with Cisco Technical Communications, as required, that help drive the organization forward in areas such as content strategy, tools, innovation, and/or customer-centric documentation practices

+ Proven expertise in people/process/project management, strategic planning, team building, evaluation of tools and processes, and financial planning
+ Ability to work smoothly with senior management in decision making, and setting direction for the organization
+ Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills
+ Understanding of usability and customer listening practices
+ Ability to identify significantly complex information needs of a target audience, work with project leads to develop appropriate documentation plans, and manage the execution of those plans concurrently
+ Good understanding of development methodologies, including agile development, and a technical writer?s role in a cross-functional project team
+ Good understanding of networking and security technology
+ Thorough understanding of technical communication concepts
+ Ability to partner with peer managers in development and marketing, and be a strong advocate for technical communications initiatives within the stakeholder business unit
+ Eight to twelve years of technical communication experience. This should include at least two years of direct people management experience or at least two years of increasing responsibility in team leadership or people management

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
