Position Objective


Quality Associates Inc., a subsidiary of Konica Minolta, has an exciting opportunity for a Project Supervisor in our Fulton, MD location!  This position plans, directs, and coordinates activities to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame by performing the following duties:

Essential Job Functions


  • Manages the CD production unit to insure successful completion of client's orders.

  • Trains and evaluates per diem employees and technical staff within the CD unit.

  • Collaborates and coordinates with software programmers to make system process enhancements.

  • Assigns orders to technical staff as needed.Manages weekly reports for client billing purposes.

  • Takes inventory and orders appropriate replacement supplies.

  • Communicates with clients regarding their needs and concerns.

  • Speaks with clients regarding status of projects and any special requests.

  • Works with Sales and Marketing to establish new clients.

  • Travels to client sites and tradeshows. Manages the archives for the NIH CD Productions Department.

  • Works internally to improve system capabilities and procedures.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)


Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.


Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written,oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher; Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Express, Microsoft Access and Adobe Acrobat, Acent Capture, Rimage and Microtech CO Duplicating Software.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises two to twelve employees in the NIH CD Production department.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Experience, Educational Requirements and Certifications


Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
