Key Responsibilities: Ensure prompt and timely payment of submitted invoices under an assigned federal portfolio of contracts. Make collection calls and send correspondence to the assigned federal customer base to identify outstanding invoices and bring issues to resolution. Provide effective customer service regarding collection issues, process customer refunds, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments. Monitor and maintain assigned accounts- Customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off, customer reconciliations and processing credit memos. Assume ownership and be accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned account portfolio. Enlist the efforts of Presidio Federal Team members, including contracts, sales, operations, and senior management, when necessary, to accelerate the collection process. Must communicate and follow up effectively with sales department regarding customer accounts on a timely basis. Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with federal agency and prime contractor customers and sales. Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Presidio Federal Team and Accounts Receivable Department.   Essential Functions: Conduct and manage invoice and collection activities within the U.S. government (Civilian and DoD) contracting environment Weekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisor Monthly Delinquency notices Processing monthly credit memos and the appropriate reporting High volume phone calls and correspondence to assigned delinquent customers Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances that are due Provide excellent and considerate customer service to customers and sales Internal and External customer interface Participate in team planning meetings Meet defined department goals and activity metrics Provide primary assistance in developing and coordinating implementation of the Presidio's federal collections procedures, including reporting, forecasting and preparedness, response, and recovery policies, training, and logistical support. Qualifications and Experience: 7-10 years of Federal Collections Experience. Great Plains experience (Preferred) Knowledge of and experience in the implementation of current federal contract collection policies, regulations (i.e., prompt payment), standards, and best practices. Ability to build consensus and facilitate cooperative and collaborative relationships. Working level familiarity and experience in relevant ledger and electronic funds transfer payment systems (i.e., Wide Area Work Flow) Ability to resolve complex billing issues Ability to work individually and with other internal and external departments Advance knowledge of Excel and data mining techniques with the ability to track, reconcile, and manipulate large sets of data Strong attention to detail, goal oriented Commitment to excellent customer service Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
